Sittin in a diner, back along the line
she came inside and sat down at the table next to mine.
a flower child of peace and love, natural as can be
an angel in tie dye sittin’ next to me.

She was dealin’ from the bottom, markin’ every card
I tried to get her attention,
but the getting’ was gettin’ pretty hard
so I just told her what I knew, I don’t remember what I told her
but the fire in her eyes kept me warm as the night was getting’ colder.
